Time to Rest

Romanticising nature's 'cocooning',

tresses bare, no lovers swooning.

Flesh drawn fragile, colors fading,

life escapes, as blood's abating.

Limbs, distinctive fingerprints,

reflect her vessels' stored contents.

Silently, she dreams of renewal,

bounties bursting forth to spew all.

Allow, not bear, such time of rest,

come spring's assuring Robin's breast!
